When you don’t have the time to watch traditional pizza dough rise, no-yeast dough is an excellent alternative. Usually requiring just a few simple pantry staples, no-yeast dough can be prepared, start-to-finish in less time than it takes to call out for delivery. While not exactly the same as a traditional pizza crust, with a good recipe, no-yeast dough can yield delicious results. Consider variations on a basic recipe, too: add some spices, cheese or minced garlic to your no-yeast dough for an interesting and unexpected twist on a classic.
Pizza Dough without Yeast

Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose or bread flour
- 2/3 cup water
- 2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
Directions
Mix together the flour, salt and baking powder in a large bowl. Then add the water and mix in a circular motion until the dough comes together. Knead the dough on a clean floured work area for two to three minutes, or until it has reached a good consistency to stretch out.
If using right away, tear the dough into two equal-sized balls, place the dough on pizza pans or baking trays and stretch as thin as possible. Then use your hands or a basting brush to spread the oil over the crust. At this point you can add sauce and toppings.
If using later, wraps the dough in plastic wrap and store in either the fridge or the freezer.
